still thinks lahabrea's dry sense of humor is good but has decided he's delusional due to living for too long, rather than the opposite. finds humans folly for most things but at least they have the decency to die by the time they should shut up
also briefly considered per their conversation why dragons hunger for the flesh of maidens exclusively, and now thinks dragon people in aefenglom, even mirrorbound, have the distant instinct of flesh-hunger for "pure" humans

captivating because: has died, has charisma and command, was some kind of tv personality—and is there anyone more terrifying than someone who has THAT kind of charisma? because despite being able to command conventional masses in potentially?? conventional means, mettaton also seems estranged enough from conventional thinking that midousuji can kind of respect his opinion. turns out this isn't surprising bc mtt is 469406 years old, isn't a human, and many other things
unnerving because: similar things. confident, beautiful, commanding, and by his perception, a type of flawless. legitimately threatening, as well. very perceptive despite such a shallow life purpose, but purpose of any kind so long as it's with real weight behind the cause is legitimate... midousuji assumes as much

midousuji's first monster bond; midousuji was losing his mind due to magic illness at the time, and recognized mettaton once mettaon frenetically sought him out by chase. midousuji foolishly attempted to outrun him, a 7'0"+ puca robot with built-in stilletos, despite not...being able to run
he stumbled, fell, and mettaton indignantly and pleasantly dangled midousuji by his wrist, and midousuji felt the first magical relief of siphoning excess magical energy to a monster.
once this event was over, midousuji was brought back to mental clarity (whatever that means by its original parameters...), and with the experience of how symbiotic bonding can feel when beneficial, finally felt properly motivated to seek his own bond
midousuji also experienced hazy, vague glances into mettaton's memories and life, and the conclusion of this as well as all of the above is he is more intrigued and horrified than ever. hopes mettaton never finds him again, but is eager to spot him on the network again and to engage with him with continued anonymity
